Found a vehicle we were interested in. They didn't have pictures on line but we called and asked about the car. We got to Kingman, and the car wasn't there and neither was the sales associate. There was a number on the door, we called and he said the bosses wife was driving it and the boss would come in and talk to us. ....without the vehicle. We left. No sale!
They had a 2011 Ford Focus that I was interested in. There was no price listed. When I kept trying to get the price, no one ever told it to me. Instead, they kept trying to have me fill out an information sheet (which requested my social security number) so they could start financing me before I even saw the price of the car. When I wouldn't let them do that, they told me the price of the 2011 Ford Focus, fully-loaded, with 19,000 miles on it was $22,000. Funny thing is, a brand new 2012 Ford Focus fully loaded with no miles on it is worth THE SAME AMOUNT. After checking with a Ford dealership and online, I pointed out that the car should only retail for $18,500 and that I'd offer $15,000-$16,000. The salesperson said she'd check with her manager. When she did, he just sat there and kept talking with his friend and had us sit there for a good twenty minutes. At that point, I decided to leave.
called about a vehicle, asked about the mileage was is true actual miles and stated it didn't matter on that old of a vehicle. I asked if they had checked it out since I would be driving from another state to look at it and the salesperson said no we don't do that. Well you just lost a sale. Well....bye....
I am a cash buyer. Was treated like a fraud when I advised of this after locating my specific Jeep here. Every trick in the book was used...someone else wanting the vehicle, deposit that I put down would be lost, it was sold, not sold, etc. I give the owner props for helping me and the finance director was very nice. I worked hard and saved for years to purchase this vehicle and was proud to buy from a small town Kansas dealer vs a big city one. I also just tried to purchase an extended warranty through them w no reply to my request...I had hoped for just a little better treatment....my advise is to go elsewhere...
DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP! They're overpricing their vehicles and then lie about it by saying that the used car market on small vehicles actually makes them worth more used than new (which is laughable to anyone who understands how the used car market works - what car manufacturer would ever let their used cars increase in value over their new cars?).
